Ignacio Alvarez Illan

TL;DR
This paper develops a method to evaluate the action of dielectric branes in complex backgrounds that can be expressed in Kaluza-Klein form, demonstrating the construction of stable dielectric systems in specific geometries.
Contribution
It introduces a procedure to compute dielectric brane actions in non-trivial backgrounds with Kaluza-Klein structure, including the gauging away of the wrapping factor.
Findings
Constructed stable dielectric brane systems in AdS_5xS^5 and AdS_3xS^3xT^4 backgrounds.
Demonstrated the gauging away of the wrapping factor in these backgrounds.
Provided a general method applicable to various non-trivial geometries.
Abstract
We present a procedure to evaluate the action for dielectric branes in non-trivial backgrounds. These backgrounds must be capable to be taken into a Kaluza-Klein form, with some non-zero wrapping factor. We derive the way this wrapping factor is gauged away. Examples of this are AdS_5xS^5 and AdS_3xS^3xT^4, where we perform the construction of different stable systems, which stability relies in its dielectric character.
