TL;DR
This paper analyzes piN scattering and pion production data to study low-lying non-strange baryon resonances, addressing challenges in identifying specific states like the Roper resonance.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of baryon resonances from scattering and production data, highlighting difficulties in resonance identification.
Findings
Insights into the Roper resonance and P11 states
Discussion of resonance identification challenges
Analysis of piN scattering and pion production data
Abstract
We discuss the analysis of data from piN elastic scattering and single pion photo- and electroproduction. The main focus is a study of low-lying non-strange baryon resonances. Here we concentrate on some difficulties associated with resonance identification, in particular the Roper and higher P11 states.
