A light scalar wimp, the Higgs portal, and DAMA
Michel H.G. Tytgat

TL;DR
This paper explores the potential detection signatures of a light scalar WIMP dark matter candidate interacting via the Higgs portal, possibly explaining DAMA's annual modulation signal.
Contribution
It investigates the phenomenology of a light scalar WIMP with mass around a few GeV interacting through the Higgs portal, linking it to DAMA's observed modulation.
Findings
Potential signatures of light scalar WIMP in direct detection experiments.
Connection between Higgs portal interactions and DAMA modulation.
Implications for future dark matter searches.
Abstract
In these proceedings, we report on the possible signatures of a light scalar WIMP, a dark matter candidate with M_DM ~ few GeV, which is supposed to interact with the Standard Model particles through the Higgs, and which might be related to the annual modulation observed by DAMA.
