Effective lagrangians for light-light interaction with a background field
Jorge Mondejar

TL;DR
This paper derives an effective Lagrangian to describe light-light scattering in the presence of a background field at low energies, extending the Euler-Heisenberg Lagrangian to include background interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a modified effective Lagrangian that accounts for background fields in light-light scattering at low energies, building on the Euler-Heisenberg framework.
Findings
Derived the Euler-Heisenberg Lagrangian at one loop.
Modified the Lagrangian to include background field effects.
Provided a theoretical framework for low-energy light-light interactions with backgrounds.
Abstract
We address the issue of light-light scattering in the presence of a background field at low energies using effective lagrangians. We derive the Euler-Heisenberg lagrangian at one loop and modify it to incorporate the case of the interaction with a background field.
