TL;DR
This paper introduces a new generalized parameterization for dark energy's equation of state, unifying existing models and expanding the range of possible cosmological solutions, with implications for observational constraints.
Contribution
A novel generalized equation of state parameterization for dark energy that encompasses known models and allows for a broader set of cosmological solutions.
Findings
Recovers known EoS models at specific parameter limits
Proposes a wider range of cosmological solutions
Discusses potential observational constraints
Abstract
A generalized parameterization for the dark energy equation of state (EoS) is proposed and some of its cosmological consequences are investigated. We show that in the limit of the characteristic dimensionless parameter and -1 some well-known EoS parameterizations are fully recovered whereas for other values of the proposed parameterization admits a wider and new range of cosmological solutions. We also discuss possible constraints on the parameters from current observational data.
