Time-dependent amplitude analysis of B0 --> K0S pi+ pi-
The BABAR Collaboration: B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper performs a time-dependent amplitude analysis of B0 decays to measure CP violation parameters and direct CP asymmetries, providing new constraints on CP violation in these decay channels using a large data sample.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed time-dependent amplitude analysis of B0 to K0S pi+ pi- decays, extracting CP violation parameters and asymmetries with improved precision and confidence intervals.
Findings
CP conservation in B0 to f0(980) K0S is excluded at 3.5 sigma.
The CP parameter beta_eff for f0(980) K0S is constrained between 18° and 76° at 95% CL.
The direct CP asymmetry in B0 to K*+ pi- is measured as -0.20 ± 0.10 ± 0.01 ± 0.02.
Abstract
We perform a time-dependent amplitude analysis of decays to extract the CP violation parameters of and and the direct CP asymmetry of . The results are obtained from a data sample of decays, collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy factory at SLAC. We find two solutions, with an equivalent goodness-of-fit. Including systematic and Dalitz plot model uncertainties, the combined confidence interval for values of the CP parameter in decays to is at 95% confidence level (C.L). CP conservation in decays to is excluded at including systematic uncertainties. For decays to , the combined confidence interval is $-9^o <…
