Annihilation of the electron-positron pairs in the positronium ion Ps$^-$ and bi-positronium Ps$_2$
Alexei M. Frolov

TL;DR
This paper numerically calculates the annihilation rates of electron-positron pairs in the positronium ion and bi-positronium molecule, providing detailed photon emission rates for various annihilation channels.
Contribution
It presents the first comprehensive numerical determination of multi-photon annihilation rates in Ps$^-$ and Ps$_2$, including rare one- and zero-photon processes.
Findings
Two- and three-photon rates are dominant over four- and five-photon rates.
Four- and five-photon annihilation rates are significantly smaller.
Zero- and one-photon annihilation rates are extremely low.
Abstract
Rates of the two-, three-, four- and five-photon annihilations of the electron-positron pairs are determined numerically for the three-body positronium ion Ps () and four-body bi-positronium `molecule' Ps (). The values obtained in our computations are Ps 2.08048530525 , Ps 5.6364151550 , Ps 3.075 , Ps and Ps 4.4385952 , Ps 1.202497 , Ps 6.562 , Ps 11.484 . The four- and five-photon annihilation rates are significantly…
