Marianna Ridderstad, Jari Okkonen

TL;DR
This study measures the orientations of 23 ancient Giant's Churches in Finland and finds many align with solar events, suggesting astronomical significance in their construction.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed measurement and analysis of the orientations of these prehistoric structures in Ostrobothnia, Finland.
Findings
Many churches align with solar risings and settings.
The orientations suggest astronomical or ritual significance.
Supports the idea of solar alignment in prehistoric architecture.
