A Note on Quantum Entanglement and PPT
Shao-Ming Fei, Xianqing Li-Jost

TL;DR
This paper investigates specific 3x3 bipartite quantum states, demonstrating that for these states, the PPT criterion precisely characterizes separability, being both necessary and sufficient.
Contribution
It introduces a class of 3x3 states where PPT equivalently indicates separability, clarifying the criterion's exact applicability in this context.
Findings
PPT criterion is both necessary and sufficient for the new class of states.
Identifies a specific class of 3x3 states with this property.
Enhances understanding of PPT's role in quantum state separability.
Abstract
We study quantum states for which the PPT criterion is both sufficient and necessary for separability. We present a class of 3x3 bipartite mixed states and show that these states are separable if and only if they are PPT.
