TL;DR
This study investigates the partial oxidation of methane using experimental and simulation methods to elucidate the reaction mechanism involving numerous homogeneous and surface reactions.
Contribution
It presents a detailed reaction mechanism for methane oxidation, validated through experimental data and simulations with Chemkin-Surface software.
Findings
Reaction mechanism includes 444 homogeneous reactions
Involves 33 surface reactions
Validated mechanism with experimental data
Abstract
The partial oxidation of methane was investigated using a self-stirred reactor under a wide range of operating conditions. The recation mechanism was determined by comparing ecperimental results with the results of simulations made using the Chemkin-Surface software. The proposed mechanism includes 444 homogeneous reactions and 33 surface reactions.
