Quantum phase transitional patterns in the SD-pair shell model
Yanan Luo, Yu Zhang, Xiangfei Meng, Feng Pan, Jerry P. Draayer

TL;DR
This paper investigates shape-phase transitions in proton-neutron systems using the SD-pair shell model, revealing patterns similar to those in the interacting boson model and identifying critical point symmetries.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the SD-pair shell model exhibits shape-phase transition patterns akin to the U(5)-SU(3) and U(5)-SO(6) transitions, highlighting critical point symmetries.
Findings
Transitional patterns resemble those in the interacting boson model.
Identification of signatures of critical point symmetry.
Patterns observed in proton-neutron coupled systems.
Abstract
Patterns of shape-phase transition in the proton-neutron coupled systems are studied within the -pair shell model. The results show that some transitional patterns in the -pair shell model are similar to the , transitions with signatures of the critical point symmetry of the interacting boson model.
