Collective $d-$wave Excitonic Modes in the Fe-Superconductors
D. J. Scalapino, T. P. Devereaux

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential for collective d-wave excitonic modes in Fe-superconductors, analyzing their coupling to Raman scattering within multi-band models that show attractive pairing interactions in s- and d-wave channels.
Contribution
It introduces the concept of collective d-wave excitonic modes in Fe-superconductors and examines their coupling to Raman scattering assuming an s-wave ground state.
Findings
Attractive pairing interactions exist in both s-wave and d-wave channels.
The study predicts the existence of collective d-wave excitonic modes.
Coupling of these modes to Raman scattering is analyzed.
Abstract
Calculations of the pairing interaction in multi-band models of the Fe superconductors show that it is attractive in both the (s-wave) and (d-wave) channels. This raises the possibility that these materials may have collective excitonic modes. Here, assuming an s-wave groundstate, we investigate the d-wave collective excitonic mode and its coupling to the Raman scattering.
