TL;DR
This paper presents the first direct measurements of the spatiotemporal electric field of ultrashort Bessel-X pulses, confirming their propagation invariance and superluminal velocity using advanced measurement techniques.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of SEA TADPOLE for direct spatiotemporal measurement of ultrashort Bessel-X pulses, providing new insights into their propagation characteristics.
Findings
Confirmed propagation invariance of Bessel-X pulses
Measured superluminal velocity of pulses
Validated results with simulations
Abstract
Using SEA TADPOLE with micrometer-range spatial and femtosecond-range temporal resolution, we report the first direct spatiotemporal measurements of ultrashort Bessel-X pulses. We demonstrate their propagation invariance and superluminal velocity and verify our results with simulations
