TL;DR
This paper explores the Wigner-Yanase-Dyson information as a way to quantify quantum uncertainty in mixed states, analyzing its properties and potential applications.
Contribution
It introduces and examines the properties of a generalized measure of quantum uncertainty based on Wigner-Yanase-Dyson information.
Findings
Properties of the measure are characterized.
Connections to generalized entropies are discussed.
Potential applications in quantum information are suggested.
Abstract
In this paper, we consider Wigner-Yanase-Dyson information as a measure of quantum uncertainty of a mixed state. We study some of the interesting properties of this generalized measure. The construction is reminiscent of the generalized entropies that have shown to be useful in many applications.
