Antonio De Felice, Christophe Ringeval

TL;DR
This paper derives exact seven-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell solutions with spherical extra-dimensions, revealing wormhole configurations relevant for braneworld models and providing a regular coordinate system for the entire spacetime.
Contribution
It generalizes previous Ricci-flat solutions to include charged spacetimes with spherical extra-dimensions, expanding the understanding of higher-dimensional braneworld geometries.
Findings
Includes wormhole configurations in seven-dimensional spacetimes.
Provides a regular coordinate system for the entire spacetime.
Extends previous Ricci-flat solutions to charged cases.
Abstract
We derive exact solutions of the seven-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell equations for a spacetime exhibiting Poincare invariance along four-dimensions and spherical symmetry in the extra-dimensions. Such topology generically arises in the context of braneworld models. Our solutions generalise previous results on Ricci-flat spacetimes admitting the two-sphere and are shown to include wormhole configurations. A regular coordinate system suitable to describe the whole spacetime is singled-out and we discuss the physical relevance of the derived solutions.
