N.I.Kochelev, M.Battaglieri, R.De Vita

TL;DR
This paper calculates the cross section for exclusive $f_1(1285)$ meson photoproduction off protons at JLab energies, showing it is sizable and can be used to study the meson's properties.
Contribution
The paper provides the first estimate of the $f_1(1285)$ photoproduction cross section in the JLab energy range using the Regge approach.
Findings
Cross section is approximately 100 nb.
$f_1(1285)$ production is significantly larger than $ ext{eta}(1295)$.
Potential to study $f_1(1285)$ properties at JLab.
Abstract
Within the Regge approach, we calculated the exclusive meson photoproduction cross section at energy of few GeV. The calculation shows that the cross section is sizable, being in the range of 100 nb, and much larger than the the expected cross section of the meson photoproduction at the same energy. These two facts make possible to use this reaction to study the poor known properties of the meson in the JLab kinematics.
