Nonabelian localization for U(1) Chern-Simons theory
Lisa Jeffrey, Brendan McLellan

TL;DR
This paper explores the application of nonabelian localization techniques to U(1) Chern-Simons theory, comparing it with abelian cases and analyzing the dependence on the coupling constant.
Contribution
It extends nonabelian localization results to the U(1) gauge group and compares these findings with existing abelian Chern-Simons theory results.
Findings
Dependence on the coupling constant matches that of abelian theory.
Nonabelian localization results can be adapted to U(1) gauge group.
Comparison clarifies differences and similarities between abelian and nonabelian cases.
Abstract
This article studies the nonabelian localization results of Beasley and Witten, and considers the analogue of these results when the gauge group is U(1). It compares these results with results of Manoliu on abelian Chern-Simons theory, showing that the dependence on the coupling constant is the same.
