Scattering resonances and two-particle bound states of the extended Hubbard model
Manuel Valiente, David Petrosyan

TL;DR
This paper derives two-particle states in a one-dimensional extended Hubbard model, revealing scattering resonances and bound states due to combined on-site and nearest-neighbor interactions, expanding understanding beyond the standard Hubbard model.
Contribution
It provides a complete derivation of two-particle states in the extended Hubbard model, highlighting new energy-dependent bound states and resonances not seen in the simpler model.
Findings
Presence of scattering resonances.
Existence of two families of energy-dependent bound states.
New phenomena due to extended interactions.
Abstract
We present a complete derivation of two-particle states of the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model involving attractive or repulsive on-site and nearest-neighbour interactions. We find that this system possesses scattering resonances and two families of energy-dependent interaction-bound states which are not present in the Hubbard model with the on-site interaction alone.
