TL;DR
This paper reviews the theoretical framework and experimental measurements for determining |V_cb| from inclusive B decays, and performs a global fit to extract |V_cb| and the b-quark mass with high precision.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of the theory and measurements for inclusive |V_cb| determination and introduces a global fit approach for simultaneous extraction of |V_cb| and m_b.
Findings
Global fit yields a precise value of |V_cb|
Determined the b-quark mass m_b from inclusive decays
Confirmed consistency between measurements and theoretical predictions
Abstract
A reliable determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element is mandatory for precision flavor physics and for the search for CP violating phases from new, heavy particles. In this article, we review the theory of the determination of from inclusive semileptonic decays. We discuss the available measurements of the semileptonic branching fraction and other inclusive observables in B decays relevant to the determination of . Finally, we perform a global fit to extract and the -quark mass .
