Ching-Ming Chen, Tianjun Li, Van Eric Mayes, Dimitri V. Nanopoulos

TL;DR
This paper constructs supersymmetric AdS flux vacua resembling the MSSM with three generations, using intersecting D6-branes on a specific orbifold, and discusses challenges in gauge symmetry breaking.
Contribution
It presents new Pati-Salam flux vacua with rigid cycles that eliminate open-string moduli, advancing string model building.
Findings
Models have three generations of matter plus right-handed neutrinos.
No extra massless open-string moduli due to rigid cycles.
Difficulty in breaking Pati-Salam to the Standard Model while preserving hypercharge.
Abstract
We construct supersymmetric Pati-Salam flux vacua in AdS from intersecting D6-branes on T^6/(Z_2 x Z_2'). The models constructed have three generations of MSSM matter plus right-handed neutrinos. Because the cycles wrapped by the D-branes are rigid there are no extra massless fields in the adjoint representation, arising as open-string moduli. However, we find that it is problematic to break the Pati-Salam gauge symmetry to the Standard Model (SM) while keeping the SM hypercharge massless.
