Exclusive Initial-State-Radiation Production of the $D \bar D$, $D \bar D^*$, and $D^* \bar D^*$, Systems
The BABAR Collaboration: B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This study investigates the production of specific D meson pairs in electron-positron collisions to identify charmonium states and potential new resonances, using data from the BaBar experiment at 10.58 GeV.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of exclusive D meson pair production in initial-state-radiation events at this energy, searching for new charmonium-like states.
Findings
Observed several $$ resonances in the mass spectra.
No evidence found for $Y(4260)$ decaying into $D ar D^*$ or $D^* ar D^*$.
Abstract
We perform a study of the exclusive production of , , and in initial-state-radiation events, from annihilations at a center-of-mass energy near 10.58 GeV, to search for charmonium and possible new resonances. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 384 and was recorded by the BaBar experiment at the PEP-II storage rings. The , , and mass spectra show clear evidence of several resonances. However, there is no evidence for or .
