Manipulating Higher Partial-Wave Atom-Atom Interaction by Strong Photoassoiative Coupling
Bimalendu Deb, Jisha Hazra

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that intense laser fields can be used to manipulate not only s-wave but also higher partial-wave atom-atom interactions in cold collisions, enabling new control over atomic interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a method to control higher partial-wave interactions using strong photoassociative coupling, expanding the capabilities beyond s-wave manipulation.
Findings
Higher partial-wave interactions can be tuned with laser fields.
Laser intensity influences the strength of atom-atom interactions.
Control over atomic collisions is enhanced by photoassociative coupling.
Abstract
We show that it is possible to change not only s-wave but also higher partial wave atom-atom interactions in cold collision in the presence of relatively intense laser fields tuned near a photoassociative transition.
