TL;DR
This paper studies semileptonic and radiative B_c meson decays using a light-front quark model, analyzing form factors, zero-mode contributions, and potential models to compare with experimental data and improve understanding of heavy meson structure.
Contribution
It introduces a method to incorporate zero-mode contributions in light-front calculations and compares different confining potentials to refine heavy meson decay predictions.
Findings
Quantified zero-mode effects on form factors.
Predicted decay widths sensitive to potential models.
Identified processes to determine B*_c mass experimentally.
Abstract
We investigate the exclusive semileptonic , () decays using the light-front quark model constrained by the variational principle for the QCD motivated effective Hamiltonian. The form factors and are obtained from the analytic continuation method in the frame. While the form factor is free from the zero-mode, the form factor is not free from the zero-mode in the frame. We quantify the zero-mode contributions to for various semileptonic decays. Using our effective method to relate the non-wave function vertex to the light-front valence wave function, we incorporate the zero-mode contribution as a convolution of zero-mode operator with the initial and final state wave functions. Our results are then compared to the available…
