TL;DR
CoPreTHi is a Java web tool that integrates multiple transmembrane segment prediction methods to improve accuracy in identifying membrane-spanning regions in proteins.
Contribution
It introduces a novel joint prediction algorithm that combines various existing methods into a single, more accurate prediction tool for transmembrane segments.
Findings
Joint prediction yields higher accuracy than individual methods
The web tool is freely accessible online
Combines multiple prediction algorithms into a unified histogram
Abstract
CoPreTHi is a Java based web application, which combines the results of methods that predict the location of transmembrane segments in protein sequences into a joint prediction histogram. Clearly, the joint prediction algorithm, produces superior quality results than individual prediction schemes. The program is available at http://o2.db.uoa.gr/CoPreTHi
