Hypernuclear Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy and the Structure of p-shell Nuclei and Hypernuclei
D. J. Millener

TL;DR
This paper uses gamma-ray spectroscopy data from Hyperball to analyze the structure of p-shell hypernuclei, providing insights into Lambda-N interactions through shell-model calculations.
Contribution
It introduces shell-model calculations including Lambda and Sigma configurations to interpret hypernuclear gamma-ray data, constraining Lambda-N interactions.
Findings
Data strongly constrains the effective Lambda-N interaction.
Shell-model calculations including Lambda and Sigma configurations are effective.
Hypernuclear structure insights inform nuclear interaction models.
Abstract
Information on Lambda-7Li, Lambda-9Be, Lambda-10B, Lambda-11B, Lambda-12C, Lambda-15N, and Lambda-16O from the Ge detector array Hyperball is interpreted in terms of shell-model calculations that include both Lambda and Sigma configurations with p-shell cores. It is shown that the data puts strong constraints on the effective Lambda-N interaction.
