TL;DR
This paper discusses the development and initial performance evaluation of fully depleted fine pixel CCDs (FPCCDs) as a potential vertex detector for ILC experiments.
Contribution
It introduces the FPCCD concept and presents preliminary performance results of the first prototype sensors.
Findings
Preliminary performance data shows promising sensor capabilities.
FPCCDs are viable candidates for ILC vertex detectors.
Initial tests indicate good potential for further development.
Abstract
As a candidate of the vertex detector for experiments at ILC, fully depleted fine pixel CCDs (FPCCDs) are under development. We describe the basic concept of the FPCCD and report on preliminary results of the performance study of the first prototype FPCCD sensors.
