Anisotropic Magnetoresistance in Manganites: Model and Experiment
Javier D. Fuhr, Mara Granada, Laura B. Steren, Blas Alascio

TL;DR
This paper investigates the anisotropic magnetoresistance in La_{0.75}Sr_{0.25}MnO_3 films, combining experimental measurements with a theoretical model to explain the observed AMR behavior at low temperatures.
Contribution
It introduces a model for low-temperature AMR in manganites and validates it through experimental measurements on specific films.
Findings
AMR of order 10^{-3} for I//[100]
AMR vanishes for I//[110]
Model predictions agree with experimental data
Abstract
We present measurements of anisotropic magnetoresistance of La_{0.75}Sr_{0.25}MnO_3 films deposited on (001) SrTiO_3 substrates, and develop a model to describe the low temperature AMR in manganites. We measure an AMR of the order of 10^{-3} for the current I parallel to the [100] axis of the crystal and vanishing AMR for I//[110], in agreement with the model predictions.
