The possibility of quasi-bound state formation of $\eta$-meson with helium isotopes
V. A. Tryasuchev, A. V. Isaev

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential for forming quasi-bound states of the eta meson with helium isotopes using an optical potential model, concluding that such states are likely with helium-4 but not with helium-3.
Contribution
The study identifies the conditions for eta meson quasi-bound state formation with helium isotopes and compares these with nuclear densities and scattering data.
Findings
Eta-3He quasi-bound state formation is unlikely.
Eta-4He quasi-bound state formation is probable.
Conditions depend on nuclear densities and scattering lengths.
Abstract
The necessary conditions of quasi-bound state formation of -meson with isotopes He, He have been found within the framework of optical potential model. These conditions have been compared with the findings about helium nucleus densities and with the available information about N-scattering length. Thus, we have conclude that within the framework of discussed model He quasi-bound state formation is not possible, but He quasi-bound state formation is possible with the great probability.
