Looking for a gift of Nature: Hadron loops and hybrid mixing
F. E. Close, C. E. Thomas

TL;DR
This paper explores how meson loops influence the properties and mixing of conventional and hybrid mesons, revealing conditions under which mixing vanishes and discussing flavor mixing and the OZI rule.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical analysis of meson loop effects on hybrid and conventional meson mixing, including symmetry considerations and flavor mixing implications.
Findings
Mixing between hybrids and q qbar vanishes in a symmetry limit.
Flavor mixing due to meson loops aligns with gluon-mediated pQCD results.
The OZI rule's applicability to hybrids and conventional mesons is examined.
Abstract
We investigate how coupling of valence q qbar to meson pairs can modify the properties of conventional q qbar and hybrid mesons. In a symmetry limit the mixing between hybrids and conventional q qbar with the same J^PC is shown to vanish. Flavor mixing between heavy and light q qbar due to meson loops is shown to be dual to the results of gluon mediated pQCD, and qualitatively different from mixing involving light flavors alone. The validity of the OZI rule for conventional q qbar and hybrid mesons is discussed.
