Decays of Charmed Mesons to PV Final States
Bhubanjyoti Bhattacharya, Jonathan L. Rosner

TL;DR
This paper analyzes new decay data of charmed mesons to pseudoscalar-vector final states, testing flavor symmetry, extracting amplitudes, and predicting suppressed decay processes, enhancing understanding of charm meson decay dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a consistent analysis method for $D o PV$ decays, extending previous $D o PP$ studies to include flavor symmetry tests and decay amplitude extraction.
Findings
Validated flavor symmetry in $D o PV$ decays.
Extracted key decay amplitudes and strong phases.
Predicted properties of suppressed decay modes.
Abstract
New data on the decays of the charmed particles , , and to final states consisting of a light pseudoscalar meson and a light vector meson are analyzed. Following the same methods as in a previous analysis of decays, one can test flavor symmetry, extract key key amplitudes, and obtain information on relative strong phases. Analyses are performed for Cabibbo-favored decays and then extended to predict properties of singly- and doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed processes.
