A note on the quartic effective action of type IIB superstring
Giuseppe Policastro, Dimitrios Tsimpis

TL;DR
This paper reformulates the quartic effective action of type IIB superstring theory in a covariant form, enabling a critical evaluation of previous conjectures about its structure.
Contribution
It presents a manifestly SL(2,R)-covariant formulation of the quartic action, clarifying the structure and testing earlier theoretical conjectures.
Findings
Confirmed the SL(2,R) covariance of the quartic action
Provided a critical assessment of previous conjectures
Enhanced understanding of the supergravity effective action
Abstract
We recast the result of our recent computation of the quartic action of ten-dimensional IIB supergravity in a manifestly SL(2,R)-covariant form. This affords us a critical assessment of an earlier conjecture in the literature.
