Beatriz Errea, Jorge Dukelsky, Gerardo Ortiz

TL;DR
This paper presents an exactly solvable model for three-color trapped atomic Fermi gases, revealing complex breached pairing phases and two distinct superfluid phases with measurable density profiles.
Contribution
It introduces a novel exactly solvable model for three-color fermionic gases and characterizes their complex superfluid phases.
Findings
Identification of breached pairing phases
Discovery of two competing superfluid phases
Density profiles distinguish phases
Abstract
We introduce an exactly solvable model for trapped three-color atom gases. Applications to a cigar-shaped trapped cold fermions reveal a complex structure of breached pairing phases. We find two competing superfluid phases at weak and intermediate couplings, each one with two color pair condensates, that can be distinguished from density profile measurements.
