TL;DR
This paper revisits the 2D Abelian Higgs model, revealing that its physical sector involves the coupling of the electric field with the radial component of the scalar field, providing insights into its non-perturbative dynamics.
Contribution
It clarifies the physical sector of the 2D Abelian Higgs model, emphasizing the coupling between electric field and scalar field's radial part, offering a non-perturbative perspective.
Findings
The model describes the coupling of electric field to the scalar field's radial component.
Provides a non-perturbative analysis of the model's dynamics.
Revisits and clarifies the physical sector of the 2D Abelian Higgs model.
Abstract
In this paper the two dimensional Abelian Higgs model is revisited. We show that in the physical sector, this model describes the coupling of the electric field to the radial part, in field space, of the complex scalar field.
