Siebe B. van Albada, Sorin Tanase-Nicola, Pieter Rein ten Wolde

TL;DR
This paper provides a detailed background, analytical solutions, and simulation methods for understanding the switching dynamics of the bacterial flagellar motor, contributing to the theoretical modeling of its behavior.
Contribution
It introduces a coarse-grained model and hybrid stochastic algorithm for analyzing the bacterial flagellar motor's switching dynamics.
Findings
Analytical solution of the switching dynamics model
Development of a hybrid stochastic simulation algorithm
Enhanced understanding of bacterial flagellar motor behavior
Abstract
In this Supporting information we provide background information on our model of the bacterial flagellar motor. We also derive the analytical solution of our coarse-grained model of the switching dynamics and explain the hybrid stochastic algorithm used for the simulations.
