A simulation of hard spheres gas for educational purposes
Michal Meres, Boris Tomasik

TL;DR
This paper presents an educational simulation of a hard spheres gas to help students understand molecular velocity distributions, temperature, and energy relationships in gases.
Contribution
It introduces a simulation tool that visually demonstrates the random velocities and energy of molecules in a hard spheres gas for educational purposes.
Findings
Shows the connection between temperature, energy, and molecular velocity.
Helps students grasp the statistical nature of molecular motion.
Provides an interactive way to learn gas behavior concepts.
Abstract
We describe an educational simulation of some effects within the gas of hard spheres. The focus of the presented simulation is on the comprehension of random character of the velocity of molecules in the gas and of the energy at fixed temperature. It allows to point out the connection between the temperature, the energy, and the velocity of the molecules.
