TL;DR
This paper investigates prompt photon production at high energies using the k_T-factorization approach, calculating relevant amplitudes and comparing theoretical predictions with experimental data from the Tevatron.
Contribution
It introduces a calculation of the photon production amplitude in the k_T-factorization framework and compares it with collider data, providing new insights into high-energy photon production.
Findings
Theoretical predictions align with Tevatron data within uncertainties.
The approach offers a viable alternative to collinear factorization methods.
Results improve understanding of gluon dynamics in high-energy collisions.
Abstract
We study the production of prompt photons at high energy in the framework of the k_T-factorization approach. The amplitude for production of a single photon associated with quark pair in the fusion of two off-shell gluons is calculated. Theoretical results are compared with the Tevatron data.
