Energy Benefit of Network Coding for Multiple Unicast in Wireless Networks
Jasper Goseling, Jos. H. Weber

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that network coding can significantly improve energy efficiency in wireless networks with multiple unicast sessions, establishing a new lower bound of at least 3 times the energy benefit.
Contribution
The paper improves the known lower bound of energy benefit of network coding for multiple unicast in wireless networks from 2.4 to at least 3.
Findings
Energy benefit of network coding is at least 3.
Improves previous lower bound of 2.4.
Highlights potential for energy savings in wireless networks.
Abstract
We show that the maximum possible energy benefit of network coding for multiple unicast on wireless networks is at least 3. This improves the previously known lower bound of 2.4 from [1].
