TL;DR
This paper reviews the theoretical motivation for the QCD axion, its role in solving the strong CP problem, and its implications for dark matter in astrophysics and cosmology.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of the axion and axino's roles in dark matter and discusses their significance in astrophysics and cosmology.
Findings
Axion solves the strong CP problem.
Axion and axino contribute to dark matter.
Implications for astrophysics and cosmology.
Abstract
I discuss the essential features of the QCD axion: the strong CP solution and hence its theoretical necessity. I also review the axion and axino effects on astrophysics and cosmology, in particular with emphasis on their role in the dark matter component in the universe.
