Generating Functional for Bound States in QED
M. Piatek, V.N. Pervushin, A.B. Arbuzov

TL;DR
This paper develops a new method to construct the generating functional for bound states in QED, addressing the limitations of Lorentz covariant formulations that neglect instantaneous Coulomb interactions.
Contribution
It introduces an operator-based approach to generate bound states in QED, incorporating Coulomb instantaneous interactions into the covariant framework.
Findings
Constructed the IBS generating functional using operator generalization.
Bridged the gap between Lorentz covariance and Coulomb interactions.
Provided a new tool for analyzing bound states in QED.
Abstract
The manifestly Lorentz covariant formulation of quantum electrodynamics disregards Coulomb instantaneous interaction and its consequence - instantaneous bound states (IBS's). In this article we consider the way of construction the IBS generating functional using the operator generalization of the initial data in the Dirac Hamiltonian approach to QED.
