TL;DR
This paper calculates solar p-mode oscillation frequencies and their splittings using a two-dimensional solar model with internal toroidal magnetic fields, advancing understanding of magnetic effects on solar oscillations.
Contribution
It introduces a method to compute oscillation frequency splittings in a 2D solar model with magnetic fields, providing new insights into magnetic influences on solar oscillations.
Findings
Frequency splittings are affected by internal magnetic fields.
The model reveals how magnetic topology influences oscillation modes.
Results improve interpretation of helioseismic data.
Abstract
We compute the p-mode oscillation frequencies and frequency splittings that arise in a two-dimensional model of the Sun that contains toroidal magnetic fields in its interior.
