Time-dependent angular analysis of the decays $B_{d}^{0}\to J/\psi K^{*0}$ and $B_{s}^{0}\to J/\psi \phi$
G.A. Garcia-Guerra (for the D0 Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper performs a time-dependent angular analysis of specific B meson decays to test flavor symmetry assumptions and measure lifetime ratios, providing insights into decay dynamics and symmetry properties.
Contribution
It introduces a flavor-untagged angular analysis in the transversity basis for $B_{d}^{0}$ and $B_{s}^{0}$ decays, enabling tests of SU(3) symmetry and decay factorization.
Findings
Extracted lifetime ratio $ au_{s}/ au_{d}$
Tested flavor SU(3) symmetry in B decays
Assessed factorization hypothesis for $B_{d}^{0} o J/ heta K^{*0}$
Abstract
In this paper we present the description of the flavor-untagged decays and in the transversity basis. The study of these mesons in that basis makes it possible to extract information about flavor SU(3) (or U(3)) symmetry and to verify if the factorization assumption is feasible for the decay . The lifetime ratio is also extracted with this description.
