TL;DR
This paper revisits and extends the mathematical framework for analyzing anisotropic flow backgrounds in jet-correlation studies relative to the reaction plane, providing a more general formula applicable to various azimuthal windows.
Contribution
The authors derive a generalized flow-background formula for jet-correlation analysis relative to the reaction plane, expanding upon previous models.
Findings
Derived a comprehensive flow-background formula for any azimuth window
Extended the mathematical framework of previous studies
Facilitates more accurate jet-correlation analysis in heavy-ion collisions
Abstract
We derive the flow-background formula for jet-correlation analysis with high pT trigger particles in any azimuth window relative to reaction plane, extending the mathematic framework of previous study in [J. Bielcikova, et al., Phys. Rev. C 69 (2004) 021901(R)].
