Relativistic dynamics without collisions and conservation laws
Bernhard Rothenstein, Stefan Popescu

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that relativistic momentum and energy can be derived solely from relativistic kinematics, specifically the velocity addition law, without relying on collisions or conservation laws.
Contribution
It introduces a method to derive relativistic momentum and energy expressions using only relativistic kinematics, bypassing traditional conservation law assumptions.
Findings
Relativistic momentum and energy formulas derived from kinematics.
Transformation properties obtained without collision-based arguments.
Approach simplifies understanding of relativistic dynamics.
Abstract
We show that the relativistic expressions for momentum and energy as well as the way in which they transform could be derived without involving collisions and conservation laws. Our approach involves relativistic kinematics via the addition law of relativistic velocities.
