Potential PDF sensitivity at LHCb
R. McNulty

TL;DR
This paper reviews how well the LHCb experiment can measure parton distribution functions using dimuon events from Z, W, and Drell Yan processes, comparing results to theoretical models.
Contribution
It provides an assessment of LHCb's potential sensitivity to PDFs through detailed studies of dimuon events and comparison with MSTW predictions.
Findings
LHCb can effectively probe PDFs using dimuon events.
Results show good agreement with MSTW theoretical predictions.
The study highlights LHCb's unique kinematic coverage for PDF measurements.
Abstract
A review of the potential sensitivity of the LHCb experiment to the parton distribution functions is given. Studies of dimuon events coming from Z, W and low mass Drell Yan production are presented and compared to MSTW theoretical predictions.
