Multipath Channels of Unbounded Capacity
Tobias Koch, Amos Lapidoth

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that for certain multipath channels with rapidly decaying path gain variances, the channel capacity can grow without bound as transmit power increases.
Contribution
It establishes conditions under which the capacity of noncoherent multipath channels becomes unbounded, extending understanding of channel capacity limits.
Findings
Capacity is unbounded when path gain variances decay faster than exponentially.
The result applies to discrete-time, noncoherent, multipath fading channels.
Provides theoretical insight into capacity growth with transmit power.
Abstract
The capacity of discrete-time, noncoherent, multipath fading channels is considered. It is shown that if the variances of the path gains decay faster than exponentially, then capacity is unbounded in the transmit power.
