Contribution
It provides a new generic formalism to describe intrinsic asymmetry effects on Brownian motion and predicts drift behavior in unbiased time-dependent force fields.
Findings
Predictions for drift behavior in asymmetric particles
Validation through molecular dynamics simulations
Formalism applicable to various particle shapes
Abstract
We present a generic formalism to describe Brownian motion of particles with intrinsic asymmetry and give predictions for the drift behavior in unbiased time-dependent force fields. Our findings are supported by molecular dynamics simulations.
