TL;DR
This paper uses QCD factorization to analyze how pion-kaon interactions influence CP violation in B meson decays to K pi+ pi-, providing insights into strong phases and their effects on CP asymmetries.
Contribution
It introduces a method to incorporate pion-kaon interaction effects into B decay analyses, constraining strong phases with theoretical and experimental data.
Findings
Strong interaction phases are constrained by theory and data.
Pion-kaon interactions significantly affect CP violation measurements.
Results improve understanding of hadronic effects in B decays.
Abstract
We apply QCD factorization to the quasi two-body B ->(K pi) pi decays where the (K pi)-pair effective mass is limited to 1.8 GeV. Our strong interaction phases constrained by theory and pi-K experimental data yield useful information for studies of CP violation
