TL;DR
This paper reports a search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced with a Z or W boson, focusing on events with missing transverse energy and b-jets, using data from the CDF II detector at the Tevatron.
Contribution
The study introduces a search strategy for Higgs production in association with Z/W bosons in events with MET and b-jets, using 2.1 fb^{-1} of data from CDF.
Findings
Preliminary results from the search are presented.
Analysis of 2.1 fb^{-1} of data with no significant excess found.
Methodology for identifying Higgs in MET and b-jet signatures.
Abstract
We present a search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced in association with a Z or a W boson, using data collected with the CDF II detector at the Tevatron accelerator. A scenario where the Z decays into neutrinos or leptons originating from the W-decay escape detection and the Higgs decays into a pair is considered. Therefore the expected signature is large missing transverse energy (), no isolated leptons, and two b-jets. We present the preliminary results in this search using 2.1 of data collected by CDF.
