TL;DR
This paper reports the observation of interference oscillations in microwave photoresistance within double quantum wells, highlighting the role of subband coupling and the interplay between different oscillation types.
Contribution
It introduces a new understanding of how subband coupling influences microwave-induced resistance oscillations in double quantum wells.
Findings
Observation of oscillatory magnetoresistance under microwave irradiation
Identification of interference between magneto-intersubband and microwave-induced oscillations
Explanation based on subband coupling effects
Abstract
We observe oscillatory magnetoresistance in double quantum wells under microwave irradiation. The results are explained in terms of the influence of subband coupling on the frequency-dependent photoinduced part of the electron distribution function. As a consequence, the magnetoresistance demonstrates the interference of magneto-intersubband oscillations and conventional microwave- induced resistance oscillations.
