TL;DR
This paper develops a pionless effective theory with dibaryon fields to analyze parity violation in deuteron photodisintegration, providing a framework to relate weak coupling constants to observable effects.
Contribution
It introduces a leading order Lagrangian with nucleon-dibaryon weak couplings for describing parity-violating processes in two-nucleon systems.
Findings
Derived an expression for the observable in deuteron photodisintegration at threshold.
Connected the observable to nucleon-dibaryon weak coupling constants.
Discussed the relation to previous theoretical calculations.
Abstract
We consider a pionless effective theory with dibaryon fields for the description of the weak process involving two nucleons. We construct leading order Lagrangians that contain nucleon-dibaryon weak coupling constants. We calculate the physical observable in the photodisintegration of the deuteron at threshold and obtain the result in terms of the nucleon-dibaryon weak coupling constants. Relation to existing calculations is discussed.
